Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or a novice, looking to rehab an injury, exercise through your pregnancy or looking to get your pre-work burn- our team is here to guide you toward achieving your health and fitness goals.

Our Classes

Group Reformer Pilates

Our group Reformer class is a small group class of maximum 4 participants. This class is a total body workout that guarantees to elevate your heart rate while targeting those classic Pilates stabilising muscles! The session focuses on both stabilising, strengthening and lengthening utilising all aspects of a Pilates reformer. Expect feet and hands in straps, boxes, balls and movements in all planes! And with a small group size expect hands-on and individualised corrections to ensure your practice is safe, efficient and a serious burn!

Duration: 50 minutes

Pilates for Runners

This class is a small group class of a maximum of 4 participants and is specifically programmed to supplement your running program. We noticed you didn't have enough glutes and control work in your program and wanted to do the Sydney Marathon like everyone else on TikTok so we built you a flow that will work on single leg control, weight transfer and arm carriage all in one class. Expect focused pelvic and knee control, glutes and slow single leg work with layers that mimic and complement a running program. This class requires a base level of running fitness. You should be able to run a 5km once a week before attending this class and are looking to supplement your usual program. Additionally, this class can be used as rehab for existing knee and pelvic control issues once cleared by your Physio.

Small Group Equipment Pilates

This class is a small group class of a maximum of 3 participants and is a true intro to small group Studio Pilates. Unlike our Group Reformer Pilates, your program is individualised to you during each session to meet your individual goals and needs and you will have access to all of the small equipment, weights, reformers and Wunda chair. Reformer Pilates too fast? Too scary? Not fast enough? No problems! With only 3 people in the class we can tailor the exercises, focus and pace of your program whilst maintaining a high level of attention for hands-on correction and cueing. As such, this class is pregnancy, post natal and injury friendly.

Duo Pilates

This is a semi-private Pilates session with a maximum of two participants. Unlike our Group Reformer Pilates, this class will include highly individualised programs. This means that the entire of the class is tailored to you, meaning that you and your classmate will likely be doing very different things! Feeling tight- we can put you through a mobility and stretching program. Want an advanced burn- no problems! Rehabbing an injury, new to pilates and want a gentle intro or maybe you need something tweaked to be pregnancy and post-natal friendly? Not a problem! Expect access to a variety of studio equipment including Wunda chair, small Pilates equipment, mat work and reformers.

Suitable for pre/postnatal and injury/ rehab accommodations

Private 1:1

Just you! We will take you through a custom program at your pace and in line with your goals one-to-one with one of our Senior Pilates Instructors. You can use this to beast-mode your rehab, move into more advanced practice or just as an opportunity to go at your own pace. Suitable for pregnancy, post natal and for all injury considerations! Whether that be fitness, strength or rehabilitation, this class is fully individualised at every step of the way. Expect hands on corrections, cheeky banter and fully-tailored program at every step. If you are new to Pilates and would like to start at your own pace, would prefer more privacy or conversely want a one-on-one to move into more advanced practice, this is for you. With over a decade in the industry and a passion for form and function, Yvonne can take you through an advanced sweat session, a tailored rehab program, tweak your exercises for pregnancy or injury, or build you a custom program based on your goals, preferences and needs.

1What classes do you offer?
We offer a variety of small group, duo and private classes. CLASS TYPES: – Reformer (max 4) – Small Equipment (max 3) – Private 1:1 – Duo 2:1 Our small class sizes allow for tailored movement, personal corrections and the City Physio standard at every turn. You can book directly into all of our classes via MindBody and all pricing for individual and class packs can be found directly in this portal. You can view our timetables and pricing under “BOOK A CLASS” in the navigation bar.
2What is your cancellation policy?
We have a strict 16-hour cancellation policy. You can manage your bookings, cancel, reschedule or buy class packs all via the Mindbody portal or through the Mindbody App. In fact, you are in charge of managing all your bookings and cancellations yourself! Please ensure you have turned on your email notifications in your Mindbody account to stay up to date with any class or waitlist changes. Get stuck? Email us at pilates@cityphysio.com.au
3Uh... what do I wear?
Always a good question. You will be moving around so comfortable clothing that maintains your modesty is recommended! Tights or bike shorts are recommended to... uh... keep everything contained, if you get what we mean! Long hair will need to be tied up. We can't have you getting caught in a spring! And socks are mandatory. We recommend grip socks but if you don't have any we have some in studio for purchase.
4Socks?
Yep. Socks are mandatory, but grip socks are our recommendation. Keep those piggies contained while in the studio for hygiene reasons! Grip socks can be purchased on site if you don't have any!
5Pre or postnatal safe?
Classes are injury and pre/postnatal safe. Our Pilates instructors are expertly trained modify the workouts accordingly. BUT! Don't throw something like this at them in a Reformer Class... pre and post natal modifications are best suited to our Small Group Equipment, Duo and Private classes so that we can take the time we need to make sure your workout is as safe as possible. Please take note of the class suitability when booking as errors in booking will be placed on the user and may be treated as a cancellation.
6Hair?
Yes, this is its own tab. Tie it up. We can't have you stuck in a spring, its not good for the brand! In fact, we recommend a high pony so you can lie comfortably on your back without a bun or clip digging into the back of your head.
7How do I book?
All bookings and cancellations are self managed through the MindBody portal. You can find direct access to this, as well as our class schedule via the "Book a Class" or "Book Pilates" on our website!
