Are you suffering from Elbow Pain?

The elbow is comprised of tendons, bones, and three joints that make it possible to move your arm! The elbow joint and its surrounding structures can be injured as a result of over use, desk or sporting postures, or sudden trauma such as slips and falls.

Local elbow pain is most commonly caused by a muscle or tendon injury. In some cases, elbow pain can even be referred from poor shoulder blade positioning, and from irritation or compression in the neck! As such, it is important to differentiate elbow pain from referred pain! Our physiotherapists will do a full subjective and objective assessment of your elbow considering a wide range of factors including; referred pain, the biomechanics of the upper limb or shoulder joints, head and neck posture, strength and balance of the muscles surrounding elbow, sporting technique, motor control, core and glute stability. Our physiotherapists can also refer for additional scanning or assessment if required.

Common elbow injuries we treat include:

  • Tennis elbow
  • Golfers elbow
  • Radial head fractures
  • Triceps tendonitis
  • Biceps muscle injuries
