Since 1978 · 25 Martin Place

Straight-talking. Evidence-based. 45 years in Martin Place.

We've been treating Sydney CBD's professionals, residents, desk-jockeys, athletes, weekend warriors, and active people since 1978 — long before "wellness" became an industry. What's kept us here isn't nostalgia. It's results.

Thorough assessment, a straight answer, and a treatment plan built around your life — not a protocol built around ours. No fluff. No unnecessary add-ons. No six-session packages sold before we've worked out what's wrong with you.

Physio and Pilates, without the BS. That's always been the point.

What We Treat

We're a musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy clinic — built for the full range of conditions that affect how your body moves, loads, and functions.

Sports injuries & athletic rehabilitation

From acute sprains to post-surgical return-to-sport, we treat athletes across all levels — from weekend warriors and Hyrox competitors to professional and elite sport. We have an APA Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy title in house, which means we can actually use the words "Sports Physiotherapy" with authority.

Headaches, vertigo, dizziness & jaw pain (TMJ)

One of the most under-treated presentations in Sydney CBD — and one of our genuine specialties. Our Principal Physiotherapist Nicola holds a Masters specialty in orofacial pain with a certification in Orofacial Myology. Jaws and faces aren't her "special interest." This is her speciality. Big difference.

Neck, low back & spinal pain

Acute disc injuries, chronic lumbar dysfunction, sciatica, post-surgical management — whatever your back is doing, we find the cause, treat it properly, and give you the tools to manage it long-term.

Ankle, knee & running injuries

Ligament damage, patellofemoral pain, ITB syndrome, Achilles tendinopathy, stress fractures, and the full spectrum of lower limb conditions. We treat competitive runners and people who just want to walk to the train without pain — both matter equally.

Persistent & chronic pain

Nicola Michell holds a Master of Pain Management — one of Australia's leading qualifications in this area. If you've been in pain for a long time, seen multiple practitioners, and still don't have answers, this is the clinic for you.

Post-surgical rehabilitation

ACL reconstruction, shoulder repair, hip replacement, spinal surgery — we build structured, progressive rehabilitation pathways across orthopaedic and spinal procedures that get you back to full function.

Workers compensation

Workers Comp is a pain to navigate. We're experienced providers who are genuinely good at the system — and we pride ourselves on top-quality physio with excellent outcomes. No junior clinician hand-offs. We also run WorkWell, our dedicated workers compensation division. Read more ›

Complex & multi-factor presentations

If you've been told your case is complicated, or previous treatment hasn't worked — this is where we do some of our best work. We take detailed histories, think in systems, and don't give up when the first approach doesn't crack it.

What Makes Us Different

An exceptional clinical team — and the credentials to back it up.

High staff retention isn't a coincidence. We've built a culture where good physiotherapists want to stay, keep developing, and do their best work.

APA Titled Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist — Clinical Team Lead
APA Titled Pain Physiotherapist — Principal Physiotherapist, with an orofacial speciality
Physios with backgrounds in elite sport, performance rehabilitation, and internationally recognised qualifications
A Pilates instructor with over a decade of experience and deep clinical integration

We invest seriously in ongoing clinical education, internal peer review, mentorship, and evidence-based practice — alongside paid breaks and an anti-burnout culture. The result is clinicians who care deeply and deliver consistently.

An integrated Pilates studio — on site.

We're one of the only physiotherapy clinics in Martin Place with a dedicated Pilates studio under the same roof. Where movement retraining, core rehabilitation, or strength-based recovery is the right approach, the clinical handover between physio and Pilates is seamless. One team, one plan, one building.

A patient-centric approach that actually means something.

Your physiotherapist takes a full history — not just of your injury, but of your lifestyle, training, work demands, and goals. They explain your diagnosis in plain English, tell you what they're doing and why, and are honest about prognosis — including when physiotherapy isn't the right pathway and a referral is.

We don't overbook. We don't rush consultations. We run on time.

Good to Know

We also treat:

Private health patients — HICAPS available, bring your card
Workers compensation clients
CTP and third-party insurance patients
Patients seeking a second opinion on a previous diagnosis or treatment plan
Complex presentations that haven't responded to treatment elsewhere

What to bring to your first appointment:

Any relevant imaging — X-rays, MRI or CT reports, ultrasound
Letters from your GP, specialist, or previous treating physiotherapist
Your private health insurance card — we process on-the-spot rebates via HICAPS
Comfortable clothing — or don't worry, we have shorts and tops available if you need to change

Attending for workers compensation or CTP? We need all your insurance details before your appointment. Yes, it's a pain — but if we get our ducks in a row from day one it makes everything easier.

Cancellation Policy

We run back-to-back with active waitlists. Last-minute cancellations hurt everyone.

Less than 3 hours notice?

You'll be liable for the full consultation fee. We hold a credit card on booking to keep things accountable — nothing is charged at the time, but it may be billed if you don't show or cancel too late.

Running late?

We enforce this strictly. 3 minutes late to an initial consultation and we'll ask you to rebook — that's 10% of your appointment time gone before we've started. More than 7 minutes late to a subsequent appointment and the same applies. It may be treated as a cancellation and billed accordingly.

Can't make it?

Call us as soon as possible. We'll do our best to reschedule and get someone off the waitlist into your spot.

Can't find us?

It can be tricky if you don't know the building. Here's the Google map — please allow enough time to find us. The policy applies regardless.

Note: CTP and Workers Compensation insurance does not cover non-attendance charges. These are payable by the client.

How to Find Us

We're inside 25 Martin Place — food court, Level 6, rear of the building.

Yes, we know it sounds tricky. Level 6 is the food court, not the tower. Enter via Martin Place and follow the food court to the rear (King Street end). We're near the doctors, pharmacy, and Flight Centre.
