Workers Compensation Physiotherapy in Sydney CBD.
If you’ve been injured at work, you deserve more than a junior clinician, a generic exercise sheet, and a six-week wait to feel better. We’ve been treating workers compensation injuries in Sydney CBD since 1978.
Senior clinicians only. Early intervention. Outcome-driven care. All our physiotherapists are SIRA registered — and genuinely good at navigating the system, the paperwork, and the process.
Workers compensation physiotherapy isn’t just about treating the injury. It’s managing the whole picture — clinical, occupational, and administrative — so recovery is fast, sustainable, and doesn’t derail your life or your organisation.
Understanding the injury, your work demands, your risk factors, and what a realistic recovery looks like.
We aim to see new workers compensation patients within 24–72 hours where possible, because early treatment is the single biggest predictor of a good outcome.
Manual therapy, exercise prescription, dry needling, taping, and rehabilitation programs built around your specific injury and job requirements.
For desk-based injuries, we work with HR teams and occupational therapists to address the environment causing the problem — not just the symptoms it’s producing.
With your insurer, case manager, employer, and GP — so everyone is informed and the claim moves forward rather than sideways.
Graded, realistic, and built around your actual capacity — not just what looks good on paper.
For injuries requiring surgery, structured rehab programs that restore full function as quickly and safely as possible.
From acute trauma to gradual onset conditions that crept up over months of poor ergonomics or repetitive load.
Workers compensation claims are rarely purely physical. Our Principal Physiotherapist holds a Master of Pain Management — equipping us to assess and address the psychosocial factors (stress, fear avoidance, catastrophising, workplace relationship issues) that often drive chronicity in complex claims.
Too often, workers compensation patients get the worst of the healthcare system — referred to whoever’s available rather than who’s best, managed passively, left to navigate a confusing administrative maze alone. We do things differently.
Senior clinicians on every claim — you will never be seen by a new graduate managing a caseload beyond them
We actively want your workers comp claim — we specialise in this, we’re good at it, and we don’t treat it as a paperwork burden
Early intervention as standard — timing is everything in workers comp, and we prioritise getting you seen fast
Clear, honest communication — exactly what’s wrong, what’s driving it, what treatment looks like, and what realistic recovery means for your situation
We handle the admin — liaising directly with your insurer and case manager so you don’t have to chase paperwork during recovery
Accessible location — Martin Place, walkable from Barangaroo, Wynyard, Town Hall, and Circular Quay
Navigating the system for the first time can be confusing. Here’s a straightforward breakdown.
Yes. Under the NSW workers compensation scheme, physiotherapy treatment for work-related injuries is covered by your employer’s insurer. You don’t pay out of pocket — your insurer is billed directly.
In most cases, a referral from your GP or treating doctor is required to initiate a workers compensation claim. Once your claim is accepted and you have a claim number, you can book directly with us and we’ll bill your insurer.
To avoid delays with billing and get treatment started smoothly, we need all of the following before your appointment:
We genuinely need this before you attend. We can’t chase it for you, but your case manager is a helpful source of information.
Depends on the situation — talk to us and we’ll work out the best approach for your circumstances.
Workers comp physio — what you actually want to know.
How long will my treatment take?
Recovery timelines vary significantly depending on the type and severity of injury, how early treatment begins, and individual factors like age, health, and the physical demands of your job. At your first appointment, we’ll give you a realistic, honest assessment of what recovery looks like — including a timeframe and return-to-work milestones. We don’t drag out treatment. Our goal is always the best outcome in the shortest reasonable timeframe.
Can my employer influence my treatment?
No. Your treating physiotherapist’s clinical decisions are independent of your employer. Our obligation is to your health and recovery — not to what’s convenient for your workplace. We work collaboratively with employers and insurers on return-to-work planning, but clinical decisions remain with the treating clinician.
What if I’ve already been seeing another physio and want to change?
You can change your treating physiotherapist at any point during your claim. We see this regularly — often when workers feel their current treatment isn’t progressing or they’re not receiving the level of care their injury requires. We’ll request your previous treatment records and take it from there.
Do you treat workers from construction, manual labour, or trades?
Yes. We treat workers compensation claims from all industries — office and desk-based roles, construction, healthcare, hospitality, retail, transport, and trades. The nature of the injury and the physical demands of your job shape how we approach your rehabilitation.
